The Other Woman

The Other Woman is a rock, pop, and blues cover band that consists of five musicians with over 75 years combined experience. They are a band located in the North Shore suburbs of Chicago. The Other Woman have been active in open mics, performing in bars, playing at large venues and also private events. Venues love them with such a wide variety of genres they cover, they appeal to any diverse crowds.

The band members have all been in several bands before getting together and forming The Other Woman in early 2024. The name came about when one band was dissolving and a new member was found, hence the member became somewhat of the other woman.

Loan

Loan Lynch

Vocals

Loan a.k.a Pop Troll, has been singing for almost 40 years. She found her love of performing in her high school musicals and had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the football and basketball games. Loan has also been playing the flute since elementary school and has found ways to incorporate it into her performances. She enjoys a wide range of music from pop, to dance to 90s new wave. Her musical inspirations are Lea Salonga, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Kelly Clarkson. When Loan isn’t busy singing she enjoys hanging out with her three kids, running marathons, doing yoga, and playing Candy Crush while listening to true crime podcasts.

Peter

Pete Traeger

Bass

While Pete is primary bassist, he has been playing the guitar even longer - 33 years. He also can play a sick mandolin and ukulele. Pete likes a broad spectrum of musical genres in addition to rock, including classical, blues, and jazz. He has too many favorite rock songs to pick just one, but Led Zeppelin is his favorite band. When he’s not rocking he enjoys playing pickleball, skiing, traveling, and cooking.

Ross

Ross Wasserstrom

Drums

Ross started playing drums as a kid in the 90s. He was inspired by Rock & Roll legends Keith Moon (The Who), Mitch Mitchell (The Jimi Hendrix Experience), and John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), and enjoyed following their dynamism and musical range. He is currently playing pop, R&B, jazz, and swing. Ross grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and now lives in the city with his wife, two kids, and cat

Bob

Bob Wolkotte

Guitar

Bob has been playing multiple instruments such as guitar, bass and drums for over 30 years. He taught both children and adults at School of Rock along with leading the adult band at School of Rock. Bob’s musical genre spans from rock to contemporary pop. During Bob’s free time, he loves to DJ and understands what gets the crowds moving. Bob also enjoys all things Disney, from the parks in the holiday seasons to cruising the Caribbean.

Proud to be part of The Other Woman, Alan has been playing keys since he was 13 and played in his first band called Dead Skunk at age 18. After playing in a band during college, he decided that a career in banking would better pay the bills, but never lost his love of music. Alan loves new challenges and the opportunity to stretch into different genres, enjoying all types of music from '60s pop to classic rock, to show tunes to current hits. Favorites are Elton John, Beatles, Bruno Mars, Eminem and others. He enjoys golf, traveling, cooking and spending time with family, and is recognized among friends for his legendary guacamole and gumbo.

Andrew has been playing guitar for over 15 years now, and enjoys many different genres of music. Some of his favorite artists include Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, RHCP, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban, Howlin Wolf and Aerosmith. In his spare time he loves spending time with his wife, family, friends, and his new dog. As well as reading scripture and growing in faith. Other than that he enjoys going bowling and binge watching some of his favorite tv shows and movies. Including The Office and Friends.
