The Other Woman is a rock, pop, and blues cover band that consists of five musicians with over 75 years combined experience. They are a band located in the North Shore suburbs of Chicago. The Other Woman have been active in open mics, performing in bars, playing at large venues and also private events. Venues love them with such a wide variety of genres they cover, they appeal to any diverse crowds.

The band members have all been in several bands before getting together and forming The Other Woman in early 2024. The name came about when one band was dissolving and a new member was found, hence the member became somewhat of the other woman.

Loan Lynch

Vocals

Loan a.k.a Pop Troll, has been singing for almost 40 years. She found her love of performing in her high school musicals and had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the football and basketball games. Loan has also been playing the flute since elementary school and has found ways to incorporate it into her performances. Loan also played the piano at a young age and has recently learned the harmonica. She enjoys a wide range of music from pop, to dance to 90s new wave. Her musical inspirations are Lea Salonga, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Kelly Clarkson. When Loan isn’t busy singing she enjoys running marathons, yoga, and playing Candy Crush while listening to true crime podcasts.

Pete Traeger

Bass

While Pete is primary bassist, he has been playing the guitar even longer - 33 years. He also can play a sick mandolin and ukulele. Pete likes a broad spectrum of musical genres in addition to rock, including classical, blues, and jazz. He has too many favorite rock songs to pick just one, but Led Zeppelin is his favorite band. When he’s not rocking he enjoys playing pickleball, skiing, traveling, and cooking.

Mike Lanyon

Guitar

Mike picked up his first guitar when he was 10 years old, in fact he still plays with the same guitar his mom played with when he was young. When he was 13, he started replacing homework with playing guitar. In addition to being an experienced guitar player, Mike also can play the bass, a bit on the keyboard, drums and also vocals. Mike’s influences include Michael Bloomfield, Led Zeppelin and the Smashing Pumpkins. When not playing music, he enjoys cooking, gardening, writing, Oreos, and studying economic theory. He loves a good BBQ and most of all, he HATES mayonnaise

Steve Gadlin

Drums

Steve has over 15 years of drumming experience. Steve grew up enjoying music from The Pixies, Ween, The Old 97s, and The Kinks. Fun fact about Steve is not only has he appeared on the hit show Shark Tank, but he also landed a deal with Mark Cuban. Steve has drawn over 22,000 stick figure cats for customers all over the world. Steve really is a serial silly projects guy and is the inventor of The Fart Pedal, a guitar pedal that turns your guitar into fart noises. Scott Steinberg

Guitar

Scott knew he wanted to play guitar after seeing Eddie Van Halen shred on MTV in the early 80’s. Scott’s love of music goes back to hearing his mom play Rod Stewart records when he was a toddler. His musical influences include Keith Richards, Duane Allman, Jimmy Page and Chris Cornell. Besides music, Scott is passionate about sports especially baseball and football. He dreams of seeing his beloved New York Jet host the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
